In this episode, we hear from two mothers, Margarita and Emiliana, about their experiences getting their children diagnosed with ADHD and finding the right support.
Margarita, who is originally from Mexico, shares how she became more involved after learning about her child’s ADHD diagnosis. She wanted to better understand ADHD and learn how to support her child, so she sought out information and completed parent training.
Emiliana, also from Mexico, talks about the challenges she faced when seeking help for her child. She experienced stigma and misunderstanding from family members but continued to advocate for her child and look for the support they needed.
Both mothers share their personal experiences, the challenges they faced, and what they learned along the way. Their stories show how important it is for parents to have information, support, and the confidence to advocate for their children.
